You can open in the SAS Risk Dimensions GUI environments that were created by SAS Risk Management for Banking 2.1 or SAS Risk Management for Insurance 1.2. However, you should first run startup code as described below. If you do not run this code before opening such environments, then you might encounter errors such as these in the SAS log:

ERROR: The default format that was specified for _CASHFLOW_.  CFNote (CFAformat.)
is not a valid SAS format.  The specification of this option was ignored.

ERROR: File _RSKWORK._RISK_WRITEVARS_.DATA does not exist.

To avoid these errors, do the following:

1. Log on to the SAS Risk Dimensions GUI.
2. When prompted, open any environment.
3. Select Enhanced Editor from the Tools menu.
4. Enter the following code in the Enhanced Editor before you open a SAS Risk Management for Banking 2.1 environment:

   Enter the following code in the Enhanced Editor before you open a SAS Risk Management for Insurance 1.2 environment:

   Values are as follows:
   • <entity> is the name of the entity for which the environment was created.
   • <user> is the name of the user who created the entity.
   • <mode> is either playpen or master, depending on the mode in which the environment was created.
   
   For example, if user sasuser, in entity BU1, in playpen mode created a SAS Risk Management for Banking environment, then run the following code before opening an environment that is located here (on Windows) \Lev1\AppData\SASRiskManagementForBanking\2.1\data\playpen\sasuser\BU1\analysis\environments:

5. Click Run to submit the code.
6. Open (or reopen) the SAS Risk Management for Banking 2.1 or SAS Risk Management for Insurance 1.2 environment.
